Hi, this is Darius. New Claude skills show up on GitHub every week, and most of them disappear just as fast. The ten here made the list because each one picked up hundreds or thousands of GitHub stars within days or weeks of going live.
These new Claude skills cover very different jobs, from readable answers and real logos to app clones and game mods. For each one you’ll find what it does, an example from its own repo, what it costs and the catch.

How fast are these new Claude skills growing?
Among the new Claude skills, Universal Modder leads with about 670 GitHub stars a day since it went live on September 30. Answer Me With HTML follows with almost 400 a day, then Logo Design Skill and Replica at around 200.

Step 1 · Readable answers
1. Answer Me With HTML: answers you can read in one go
1.6K GitHub starsLaunched Oct 2, 2026MITFree
Long answers from Claude often arrive as a wall of text, with the useful part buried somewhere in the middle.
Answer Me With HTML by QingYunA turns Claude’s reply into a single web page with headings, diagrams and tables.
What it does
- Claude writes only a short draft of the content. A small tool bundled inside the skill builds the page from it in about 50 milliseconds.
- Since Claude never types layout code, the README’s benchmark shows output tokens falling from 5,341 to 870, answers arriving in 12 seconds instead of 33, and each answer costing $0.067 instead of $0.092.
- It can also turn an answer into an explainer video, with a diagram that builds up while a voice explains it.
- There’s no npm install step, because the tool ships inside the skill.
Example: Ask how two computers open a connection over the internet, and you get a page with a step-by-step diagram of the messages they send and a table that sums it up.

The catch: You need Node.js 20 or newer on your computer.

Step 2 · Real logos
2. Logo Design Skill: logos built the way a designer works
2.1K GitHub starsLaunched Sep 26, 2026MITFree
Image models draw a logo as a picture, and a picture falls apart once it shrinks to a browser tab icon.
Logo Design Skill by kaankiziltug gives Claude a designer’s process, from the brief to finished vector files.
What it does
- It asks who the brand is for and how it should feel, then picks the logo type: a lettermark, a mascot or a wordmark.
- Shapes are built from real geometry and saved as SVG files, so they stay sharp at any size.
- A library of more than 1,400 classified logos, sorted by type and industry, gives Claude references to learn from.
- Every logo goes through a designer’s checks: readable at 16 pixels, fine in a single color, and visible on a shelf next to competitors. It exports favicons and app icons too.
Example: The repo’s own example is a bakery called Loafwright. You get three concepts side by side, the one it recommends, and a board showing that mark on cups, packaging and business cards.

The catch: The full pack can be too large to upload in the Claude app. There you use the lite version, which leaves out the logo library. The scripts need Python 3.8 or newer.
Install it
Easiest: open Claude Code, type Install this skill: and paste github.com/kaankiziltug/logo-design-skill
/plugin marketplace add kaankiziltug/logo-design-skill
/plugin install logo-design@logo-design-skill

Step 3 · Copy a style
3. ReelMimic: a new video in the style of one you love
1.4K GitHub starsLaunched Sep 28, 2026MITFree, runs on your plan
Copying the look of a video you like is hard if you’ve never animated anything.
ReelMimic by edenfunf studies a reference video and makes a new one in the same style about your own subject.
What it does
- The reference can be a video file, a phone recording or a YouTube link, plus one line about the video you want.
- It measures the reference: how many shots, how long each one runs, the beats per minute, the transitions, the colors and the camera moves.
- You approve a storyboard first. Then up to six agents build shots at the same time, and a different agent checks each one.
- Seven 2D engines cover looks such as watercolor, pixel art and anime. It copies the style only, never the footage or the characters.
Example: Hand it a music video whose look you like and ask for a version about your dog. The pacing and visual style carry over, and the story is yours.

The catch: It’s slow. A 30 to 60 second video takes one to three and a half hours, and it runs on your own Claude Code or Codex account, so it uses up your plan’s limits.
Install it
Easiest: open Claude Code, type Install this skill: and paste github.com/edenfunf/reelmimic
git clone https://github.com/edenfunf/reelmimic.git && cd reelmimic
./install.sh
./start.sh
Step 4 · One-take films
4. onetake: launch films with no visible cuts
1.7K GitHub starsLaunched Sep 26, 2026PolyForm NoncommercialFree for non-commercial use
Most product videos play like a slideshow: a title, a fade, a screenshot, another fade.
onetake by feitangyuan makes launch films and feature demos that look like one continuous camera shot.
What it does
- Each scene grows out of the one before it, so the viewer never sees a hard cut.
- In the repo’s own launch film, a search bar opens into an app window, the window becomes a phone, and a line drawn across the screen turns into the next scene.
- Narration and royalty-free music can be added on top.
- It handles full launch films and shorter feature teasers.
Example: Describe your app and a few of its features, and you get a teaser in which each feature unfolds from the previous one.

The catch: The license is PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0. Personal, school and research use is fine, but commercial work such as client videos is not allowed.
Install it
Easiest: open Claude Code, type Install this skill: and paste github.com/feitangyuan/onetake
git clone https://github.com/feitangyuan/onetake.git ~/.claude/skills/onetake

Step 5 · Photo detective
5. geo-sleuth: work out where a photo was taken
779 GitHub starsLaunched Sep 18, 2026MITFree
A photo with no signs, no street names and no landmarks still holds clues about where it was taken.
geo-sleuth by Oldcircle locates a photo by measuring it against real map data.
What it does
- It pulls in OpenStreetMap, elevation data, satellite imagery and street view.
- Known spacing, such as the gap between bridge piers, works as a ruler. Shadows give the direction the camera faced, and a ridge line is matched against terrain heights like a fingerprint.
- Every claim has to point to a file one of its scripts produced, so a guess can’t slip into the answer.
- The result is the camera position, the direction it faced and a satellite image with both marked.
Example: In the repo’s own case, a photo showing one bridge and one mountain was placed to within 2 meters.

The catch: The README asks you to use it only on your own photos or ones you have permission to analyze, and never to find people who don’t want to be found. It also needs Python 3.10 or newer and uv.
Install it
Easiest: open Claude Code, type Install this skill: and paste github.com/Oldcircle/geo-sleuth
npx skills add Oldcircle/geo-sleuth
Step 6 · Scripts
6. Screenwriting Skills: film and TV writing help from the craft books
1.6K GitHub stars26 skillsMITFree
AI-written stories often hold together for one scene and then drift.
Screenwriting Skills by jtydhr88 is a pack of 26 skills for writing film and TV.
What it does
- It was built from 47 books on the craft and 23 volumes of published scripts from China, the US, the UK, Japan and Korea.
- Separate skills cover dialogue, story structure, how a TV writers’ room runs, and the business side, such as loglines and pitches.
- You can ask in English, Japanese, Korean or French, and the answer comes back in the same language.
Example: Paste in an argument between two characters and ask why it falls flat. You get notes on what’s wrong with the dialogue and how professional writers would fix it.

The catch: The skill files are written in Chinese, so unless you read Chinese you can’t check the instructions yourself.

Step 7 · Code changes
7. PR and Chief of Staff: code changes a reviewer understands at a glance
277K GitHub stars (pack)PR: 75.7K installsMITFree
Claude can change dozens of files in minutes. Someone still has to understand those changes before they’re merged.
Matt Pocock, who teaches TypeScript and Claude Code, recently added two skills to his pack: PR and Chief of Staff.
What it does
- PR writes the description for a change from a fixed template: a summary with a small diagram or diff sketch, evidence from before and after (such as a test that failed and now passes), and a Merge Danger section.
- Merge Danger says whether the change is a one-way or a two-way door, meaning hard or easy to undo, and how large its blast radius is.
- Chief of Staff takes one big goal, hands the work to helper agents, keeps its memory tidy with pointers instead of copies, and suggests tasks to run on a schedule.
- Chief of Staff first appeared on skills.sh on October 5 and already has about 5,500 installs.
Example: Finish a feature and run the PR skill, and the reviewer sees what changed and how risky it is without reading every line.

The catch: Chief of Staff sits in the pack’s in-progress folder, so it’s still experimental, and it runs only when you call it by name.

Step 8 · Google agents
8. Agents CLI: build and launch agents on Google Cloud
6.1K GitHub stars475K installs per skillApache-2.0Free skills, paid cloud
Building an AI agent and putting it online usually means learning a long list of Google Cloud services first.
Agents CLI is Google’s own pack of seven skills that teach Claude to build, test and deploy agents on Google Cloud.
What it does
- One skill writes the agent with Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK), and another sets up the project.
- An evaluation skill tests the agent with AI judges and real scores.
- The rest deploy it to Cloud Run, GKE or Agent Runtime, publish it to Gemini Enterprise, and add logging and tracing so you can see what it does.
- The official tutorial has you build a caveman agent that turns long text into short grunts.
Example: Ask Claude for an agent that answers questions about your shop, and it creates the project, tests the agent and deploys it.

The catch: You need Python 3.11 or newer, uv and Node.js. Once the agent runs on Google Cloud, Google bills you for what it uses.
Install it
Easiest: open Claude Code, type Install this skill: and paste github.com/google/agents-cli
npx skills add google/agents-cli
Step 9 · Clone apps
9. Replica: rebuild an app’s features the legal way
611 GitHub stars11 skillsMITFree, no API key
Plenty of subscription apps have features people like and problems they complain about in the reviews.
Replica by Jake Schincariol is a set of 11 Claude skills that rebuild what an existing app does.
What it does
- A recon skill maps the app’s screens and flows from public pages, store listings and your own account.
- Other skills plan the database and stack, rebuild the design with your own assets, build the screens, add sign-ups and payments, test every flow and score the clone against the original.
- The Entrepreneur skill reads real reviews to find what users dislike.
- It follows a clean-room rule: it rebuilds what the app does, never its code, logo or wording.
Example: In the README’s example, the Entrepreneur read 140 reviews of a booking app. Users disliked paying more per seat and having no text reminders, so the clone got flat pricing and text reminders.

The catch: Some checks are left to you, including the trademark and domain checks it hands back. The tools need Python 3.8 or newer.

Step 10 · Game mods
10. Universal Modder: mod almost any PC game
4.2K GitHub starsLaunched Sep 30, 2026MITFree skill, paid fal assets
Modding a game has usually meant weeks of forum threads and code you don’t understand.
Universal Modder by rehan-remade lets Claude mod almost any PC game you own.
What it does
- It works out which engine the game runs on, backs up your saves first and reads the actual game code.
- It builds the mod one working piece at a time and makes sprites, 3D models, sound and music through fal.
- Each mod is tested inside the running game and recorded on video.
- It writes down what it learned, so the next mod goes faster.
Example: The repo shows a new civilization for Age of Empires II and Minecraft running inside GTA V. Ask for a homing missile launcher in Terraria, and it builds the item, draws it and tests it in the game.

The catch: Most of the art, 3D and audio comes from fal, which charges per use. You also need Python 3.10, ffmpeg and, for 3D, Blender.
Install it
Easiest: open Claude Code, type Install this skill: and paste github.com/rehan-remade/universal-modder
/plugin marketplace add rehan-remade/universal-modder
/plugin install universal-modder@universal-modder

Frequently asked questions
What are the best new Claude skills right now?
By growth since launch, Universal Modder, Answer Me With HTML, Logo Design Skill and Replica lead, each adding around 200 GitHub stars a day or more. The best one for you depends on the job: readable answers, logos, videos, location research, scripts, code reviews, agents, app clones or game mods.
Are these new Claude skills free?
All ten are free to install. A few have costs or limits around them: onetake’s license forbids commercial use, ReelMimic runs on your own Claude plan, Agents CLI deploys to Google Cloud, which bills you, and Universal Modder makes most of its art through fal, which charges per use.
Do these skills only work in Claude Code?
They’re built for Claude Code, and several also support other agents. ReelMimic works with Codex, geo-sleuth installs into Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI, and Universal Modder’s skills work in any agent that reads skills.
Is it legal to clone an app with Replica?
Replica follows a clean-room rule: it rebuilds what an app does from public information and your own account, and never copies its code, logo or wording. Trademark and domain checks are still your job.
How do I install a new Claude skill?
Open Claude Code, type “Install this skill:” and paste the GitHub link. Claude installs it, and the skill loads in your next chat.
Final verdict: which of the new Claude skills to try first
If you read long answers every day, start with Answer Me With HTML. For a new brand, Logo Design Skill is the one, and for video, pick ReelMimic or, for non-commercial projects, onetake. Developers get the most out of Matt Pocock’s PR skill and Agents CLI, founders will like Replica, and Universal Modder is the fun one.
Pick the one that fits what you’re working on this week. For skills grouped by job, see my guides to Claude skills for marketing and Claude Code skills for YouTubers.
